Meet Attendance Tracker
Automatic attendance for Google Meet. See who joined, when they joined and left, and how many minutes they were there. Free, no account, data stays on your device.
A free Chrome extension by Ctrio Lab. Chrome Web Store listing coming soon.
Features
- Automatic tracking for every call on meet.google.com. Nothing to start or stop.
- Join time, leave time, total minutes and number of rejoins for each person.
- Works with the People panel closed, including large classes. When not every video tile fits on screen, it can briefly open the People panel once a minute to see everyone (you can turn this off).
- Meeting history: every past meeting is listed in the popup.
- CSV export that opens in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers.
- Copy table to the clipboard and paste it anywhere.
- Private by design: everything is stored in your browser. No sign-up, no server, no analytics.
How it works
- Install the extension in Chrome.
- Join a Google Meet call as usual. A small "Attendance tracking" label appears in the corner so you know it is working.
- Click the extension icon during or after the call to see attendance, export a CSV file or copy the table.
Pro features: coming soon
We are working on optional Pro features for teachers and trainers:
- Google Sheets auto-export after every meeting
- Roster matching with present, late and absent marks
- Attendance reports across meetings (attendance %, late count, minutes)
Everything in the free version stays free. Want to know when Pro is ready? Email us to get notified.
FAQ
Is it really free?
Yes. Automatic tracking, meeting history, CSV export and copy are free with no time limit and no account.
Where is my attendance data stored?
Only in your browser (Chrome extension local storage). The extension does not send attendance data, names or meeting details to us or to anyone else. Uninstalling the extension deletes the data.
Do I need to keep the People panel open?
No. The extension reads names from the video tiles. If some people are not visible as tiles (for example in a large class), it briefly opens and closes the People panel about once a minute. You can turn this off in Settings.
How accurate are the leave times?
A person is marked as left only after they have been missing for about 12 seconds while the extension can see everyone, so short video glitches do not split attendance. If you close the Meet tab or Chrome crashes, the meeting is closed at the last moment the extension saw it running.
Am I counted in the list?
No, you (the person running the extension) are excluded by default. You can include yourself in Settings.
Does it work if Meet is in another language?
Yes. The extension recognizes the Meet interface in several languages. If something does not work in your language, please email us.
Does it work for meetings I do not host?
Yes. It records the names that are visible to you in the call, whether or not you are the host.
How do I delete my data?
Open the extension, go to Settings and click "Delete all attendance data", or delete single meetings from their detail view. Uninstalling the extension also removes everything.
Do I need to tell participants?
The extension only records names already visible to you in the meeting. If you take attendance of others, follow the rules of your school, employer or local law about informing participants.
